An alternative and larger version of the artwork titled 'Rumex', beauty and brutality collide once more in this symmetry-based piece, showing a dock leaf (Rumex Obtusifolius) with brightly coloured spots on its surface. Appearances can be decieving however, as this plant is regarded in the UK as an Injurious weed due to its ability to cause harm to agricultural landscapes. Its brighly coloured spots (normally red), are in fact a pathogen known as Ramularia Rubella and can be toxic to humans.
This artwork is printed on the indisputable Hahnemuhle Photorag 100% cotton-based fine art museum-grade paper. Giving a rich, succulent and velvety appearance, this paper is incredibly high calibre and gives excellent colour intensity and detail.
